Lucia Pierson

Originally from New York, Lucia grew up in a variety of places ranging from Manhattan to Madrid to Fairfield, Connecticut. After graduating from Dartmouth College in 2018, where she studied Psychology and Environmental Studies, she ran an outdoor program in New Hampshire before moving to Quito, Ecuador to work as a psychologist for differently-abled students in the region. Since Quito, Lucia has worked at a mountain lodge in the White Mountains and taught Environmental Science and team building at an outdoor center in the Berkshire Mountains. Her love for international education began during the summer of 2019 when she led a six-week service-learning trip around New Zealand for US teenagers. Some fun facts about Lucia are that she has had seven dogs, speaks three languages, worked as a Disney princess in high school, and some of her favorite books are A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman, Welcome to the Goddamn Ice Cube by Blair Braverman, and Grandma Gatewood’s Walk: The Inspiring Story of the Woman Who Saved the Appalachian Trail by Ben Montgomery.
